Beccles Public Hall Performance October 2015

You don’t need to audition.
You don’t need to read music.

Just come along and enjoy the act of singing with a group of like-minded people who find singing in unison an enjoyable, fun and exhilarating experience.

Unwind with us and let the music lift your mood: make you happier, more confident and above all have fun.

If you can speak, you can sing, so come along to the Waveney Centre which offers beautiful views over the river Waveney in Beccles, introduce yourself to our choir master, Stephen, and join us for a session.

Reasons to Sing:

Singing and music have long been known as agents for wellbeing.

We use music to benefit our health in many ways, including to improve posture, learn breathing exercises for relaxation and energising techniques. We build our confidence and self-esteem and meet together to make friends. When we sing, we generate endorphins and strengthen neural pathways as well as create natural tranquilisers which help to diminish stress and pain hormones.

We sing across a wide variety of genres and styles, including Folk, Gospel, Ska, Disney, Musicals, Swing and Jazz, Rock, Soul, Pop, Country as well as World repertoire and Festive songs and choose the songs we sing based on requests by the members.

Our repertoire includes: The Bare Necessities, Amazing Grace, Bring Me Sunshine, Teenager in Love, Moon River, Sweet Caroline, Let It Be, Shake Rattle & Roll, Enjoy Yourself, We Are The Champions among many others including contemporary songs and some obscure songs.

The choir welcomes everybody, all ages and abilities – we meet at:
